Editor: VolconTM (Volume control) is handy system tray application that allows to control volume of computer's sounds by means of Keyboard Shortcuts. The main reason why the Volcon was created is the lack of fast and easy (standard) way of master volume adjustment. Especially useful Volcon can be during playing computer games, when there is no time for searching the sound settings.
As mentioned earlier, Volcon allows to control master volume by means of so-called "hot keys". A hot key is a Combination of keys on a computer keyboard that, when pressed at one time, performs some action. Hot keys are always accessible regardless of what application is active at this moment. Therefore, Volcon allows you to quickly set volume at any moment, using simple combinations of keys. For example, if settings by Default are used, you can slightly increase master volume simply by pressing "Ctrl+Alt+Add". Similarly, if you want that the sounds become a Little quieter then just press "Ctrl+Alt+Subtract".
Volcon provides the same functionality as the volume keys on the multimedia keyboard and besides this, it allows to set necessary master volume level by only single press of hot key. While using multimedia keyboard, in most cases, you should press the same key several times. This small, at first sight, advantage in practice appears very useful.
Volcon run automatically when Windows starts and works in a background mode. It displays icon in system tray which indicates current volume level.
All Volcon functions are available through hot keys. Any hot key, if it is necessary, can be changed to more suitable with help of options dialog.
